About PCG Australia District
Our Church History
The Presbyterian Church International in Australia began as a fellowship of Ghanaian Presbyterian believers who sought to preserve their faith, worship tradition, and Christian fellowship while living abroad. Through prayer, commitment, and the dedication of pioneering members and leaders, the Church gradually grew from small prayer gatherings into organized congregations across different cities in Australia.
Sydney is now the headquarters of the Church in Australia, serving as the central point for worship, administration, and spiritual activities. Over the years, the Church expanded its mission through evangelism, discipleship, youth development, and community outreach, leading to the establishment of branches in other parts of the country.
The Church operates under the North America-Australia Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana and continues to maintain strong spiritual and administrative ties with the mother church in Ghana. Through the leadership of dedicated ministers, catechists, presbyters, and members, the Church has continued to grow in unity, faith, and service to God.
